Six Degrees Nights Cancelled

For a few years now, Six Degrees Records has spread its musical love around the world through not only releasing tunes on their imprint but supporting regular club events around North America.  Their sponsored series of 'Six Degrees Nights' were held in cities like New York, San Fancisco, Seattle, Detroit and Toronto.

Actually, our own Dishoom monthly here in Toronto was the official Six Degrees Night in the city... until recently.

Changing their marketing approach has meant that 6d will no longer be co-promoting/sponsoring these wonderful events - including Dishoom.  As far as I can tell, all the promoters and DJs who were organsiing them are still pretty interested in carrying on without the label's support and we'll be linking up with them in the next few weeks to check up on their plans movng forward w/o 6d - stay tuned to our features on site.

Though we won't be co-promoting events on a monthly basis, [ie] hopes to stay in close touch with 6d - one of the finest music labels around, in my opinion! :)

In light of all this plus general summer hubbub, Dishoom is on hiatus till Fall.
