and we are throwing a fantastic party to celebrate.
Since 1993, SAVAC has been dedicated to the presentation and promotion of contemporary visual art by South Asian artists. SAVAC presents innovative programming which critically explores issues and ideas shaping South Asian identities and experiences.
SAVAC has a lot to celebrate and this will be a great party. Come join our festivities!

DJ State of Bengal from London, UK will be spinning tunes from his latest album: Skip-ji. Local DJ’s Zahra, Ulysses Castellanos and Nick Red will warm up the crowd and liven things up.
There will be a raffle and many other fun surprises.

When: October 24th, doors open at 9 PM
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door

State Of Bengal is one of the key DJ / producers to have emerged from the cutting edge British Asian Music scene that emerged in the late 90's. This scene gave birth to the 'Asian Underground' movement. His reputation as one of the most innovative and pioneering artists is still held today as he continues to push the boundaries with his varied projects and albums. State of Bengal has produced remixes for artists such as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Massive Attack. He opened for Bjork on her global tour and did production work for Ananda Shanker.

Mashing it up with samples from all over, reworking bass lines, pushing it through Filters, FX, and all kinds of stuff, mixed with percussive sounds & synths with live synchronized & original video content that is a amalgamation of classic cinema, obscure footage, art, professional photography & original content shot, edited & produced in house.
