Shree
Shree's travels across the globe have finally landed him in Vienna, Austria where he spends most of his days spreading mad Desi vibes at the United Nations. As part of the Ethnotechno.com crew, he joins in Dimmsummer's quest to make ET the most comprehensive site on the web for global electronica resources.
Shree has no idea why electronic dance music makes so much sense to him but he thinks that nicking his older brother's Depeche Mode, Human League and New Order records as a kid had something to do with it.
A passion for opening new ears to the harder side of the Asian Massive/Underground has led him to man the decks at numerous venues across the downbeat hub of Europe, opening for the likes of DJ Ritu, Pathaan, Mukul, Equal-I and Cheb I Sabbah. His sets - which tend to veer from minimal techno and glitchy electronica to IDM and breaks-heavy South Asian electronica - often serve as a barometer for what's hot and current in dance music. While not about to give up his day job anytime soon, he has fast become a menace for the local Bhangra and Bollywood heads.
